We are dedicated to the Sport Flyer who desires a model aircraft that is truly
functional and can stand the rigors of day after day, week after week flying.

Our Plans feature all balsa construction with basswood and plywood as
needed for sound and practical applications.

The range of our designs includes the Classics of the 30's to modern high performance racers that include Jon Sharp's Nemesis, Patti Johnson's Full Tilt Boogie (highly modified Mong) and the most outstanding Home Built of the decade, the Lance Neibauer designed Lancair IV manufactured by Neico Aviation / Lancair International of Redmond, OR.

Wendell Hostetler’s Plans announce the release of their latest designs for 2009, a 27.5% Piper PA-25 Pawnee and a 27% L-17 Navion. (Click on picture to enlarge)

Specifications for the Pawnee are: Span: 119.35”, Weight: 24 to 26 lbs., Length: 81.7”, Wing Area: 1934.5”., Power: 3 to 6 cu.in.

Specifications for the Navion are: Span: 108.15”, Weight: 28 to 32 lbs., Length: 88.29”, Wing Area: 1855 sq.in., Power 3 to 4 cu. In.

The plans include 2 – 42”x 96” detailed sheets with 3-view drawings, bill of materials and construction photos of the Pawnee.

Due to the custom plotting process, the cost is somewhat higher than our regular plan prices. No fiberglass parts, formed windshields, or gear are available for special sizes.
